For those working in an environment where both adults and children might need first aid, this one-day course meets the requirements of the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations. You’ll gain the knowledge and practical competence required to deal with a wide range of workplace first aid situations by learning basic, life-saving first aid skills suitable for all ages.

Our Level 3 Award in Emergency First Aid at Work and Emergency Paediatric First Aid courses are regulated by The Office of Qualifications and Examinations Regulation (Ofqual). Don’t accept anything else!

You’ll gain two qualifications in just one day; the Emergency First Aid at Work and Emergency Paediatric First Aid qualification.

We use the latest first aid training technology for the most realistic experience. There’s no written test or formal assessment – just a day of fun and learning! All candidates receive an electronic certificate as well as a digital wallet certificate which can be securely added to an Apple or Google Wallet on a smartphone or other device.

These qualifications are regulated in the UK by Ofqual and awarded by First Aid Awards (FAA). Over the day, we’ll cover a range of introductory first aid topics including:

  • What is first aid?
  • Legislation & Responsibilities
  • Role of the Paediatric First Aider
  • Actions in an emergency
  • Primary and secondary surveys
  • The respiratory system
  • Resuscitation and use of an AED (automated external defibrillator or ‘defib’) including Paediatric Protocols
  • Disorders of respiration (choking)
  • Disorders of circulation
  • Wounds and bleeding
  • Seizures
  • Minor burns and scalds
  • Foreign objects
  • Bites and stings
