Our seven-hour First Aid for Professional Drivers CPC course is perfect for HGV, PCV and large van drivers alike. Whether you only passed your test recently or have been driving for decades, we’re sure this will be an interesting and engaging CPC course.

Delivered at your venue to your staff, our experienced first aid trainers who also have a background in the transport industry, will tailor the course to your drivers making sure you and they get the most out of the day.

Each driver will get 7 hours of CPC training plus an emergency first aid at work certificate.

Over the day, we’ll cover a range of introductory first aid topics including:

  • What is first aid?
  • Legislation & Responsibilities
  • Actions in an emergency
  • Primary and secondary surveys
  • The respiratory system
  • Resuscitation and use of an AED (automated external defibrillator or ‘defib’)
  • Disorders of respiration (choking)
  • Disorders of circulation
  • Wounds and bleeding
  • Seizures
  • Minor burns and scalds
  • Foreign objects

Our First Aid for Professional Drivers courses have a maximum of 12 people so you’re always guaranteed the attention of our instructors. All sorts of people come on our first aid courses from all sorts of backgrounds and all ages but what they all have in common is a desire to learn more about being able to help others in times of need.

The course takes place over 7 hours. We usually start at 9am and aim to finish before 4pm.
