The one-day Emergency Paediatric First Aid course is designed for those with an interest in child and infant Basic Life Support including parents, guardians and family members. This course is also delivered as a two-hour ‘bolt on’ to our one-day Emergency First Aid at Work course.

Our Level 3 Award in Emergency Paediatric First Aid course is regulated by The Office of Qualifications and Examinations Regulation (Ofqual). Don’t accept anything else!

This Ofqual regulated qualification is ideal for learners with a responsibility for the care of children and babies and provides knowledge and skills to deal with a range of paediatric first aid conditions and incidents.

This qualification is regulated in the UK by Ofqual and awarded by First Aid Awards (FAA). Over the day, we’ll cover a range of introductory paediatric first aid topics including:

  • Role of the Paediatric First Aider
  • Primary survey
  • Resuscitation (CPR including the safe use of an AED)
  • Wounds, bleeding and shock
  • Seizure
  • Choking
  • Minor injuries
  • Recovery position

Please note this paediatric first aid course is for adults. Unfortunately, we don’t deliver first aid training to under 18’s.
