- Level 3 Award in First Aid at Work
- Meets employer’s legal obligations
- Compliant with Resuscitation Council (UK) Guidelines
- Friendly, relaxed courses taught by professionals
It is a requirement of the Health & Safety law that employers provide a safe and healthy environment to work in. If your assessment of first aid needs highlights the need for qualified first aiders, then this level three day First Aid at Work qualification will provide you with suitable, highly trained personnel.

Our Level 3 Award in First Aid at Work course is regulated by The Office of Qualifications and Examinations Regulation (Ofqual). Don’t accept anything else!
It’s important to remember is that as soon as a certificate expires, the first aider is no longer considered competent to act as in that role in the workplace which may well leave the employer with a shortfall of first aiders. Therefore, it would be prudent to arrange their requalification before they expire.
A first aider can renew their First Aid at Work (FAW) qualification by attending a two-day requalification course up to one month past the expiry date of their existing certificate.
This comprehensive two-day course covers a wide range of first aid emergencies, enabling all participants to deal with emergency situations with confidence in a prompt, safe and effective way. In addition, this course will include any protocol changes that may have arisen since their last training course.
The First Aid at Work qualification is also suitable for people with responsibility for the provision of first aid in other settings such as voluntary and community groups.
This qualification is regulated in the UK by Ofqual and awarded by First Aid Awards (FAA). Over the two days, we’ll recap a range of first aid topics including:
- What is first aid?
- Legislation & Responsibilities
- Actions in an emergency
- Primary and secondary surveys
- The respiratory system
- Resuscitation and use of an AED (automated external defibrillator or ‘defib’)
- Disorders of respiration (choking)
- Disorders of circulation
- Wounds and bleeding
- Seizures
- Minor burns and scalds
- Foreign objects
- Bones, joints, and muscle injuries
- Head and spinal injuries
- Chest and abdominal injuries
- Specialised burn injuries
